Bugged Out follows last year’s massive Suck My Deck mix by Simian Mobile Disco with the first DJ mix by Berlin's Boys Noize. The DJ and producer, otherwise known as Alex Ridha, has been playing out since the age of 14. Now, at 25, his fast, cut-up approach to DJing (there are 34 tracks on this single disc) has garnered him a huge following around the world where he has torn up clubs and festivals. His appearance at 2007’s I Love Techno has already become legendary, and his sets at Bugged Out’s birthday in October and New Years Eve party incendiary.

As a producer, Alex has released tracks on Kitsune, Tiga’s Turbo and DJ Hell’s Gigolo. Erol Alkan called him the most exciting producer of 2007 and Tiga reckons that Boys Noize records saved his life. Alex now releases everything through his own label – Boysnoize Records - including last year’s acclaimed album Oi Oi Oi. He has also remixed everyone from Justice and Apparat to Depeche Mode and Snoop Dogg.

Suck My Deck, Alex’s first ever mix album, shows several sides to Boys Noize and reflects his 10 years as a professional DJ. There are new and exclusive tracks from the French new breed such as Feadz, Surkin, SebastiAn and Justice, exclusive tracks from artists signed to his own label such as Housemeister and Shadow Dancer; off-kilter electronica by Jackson & His Computer Band, Apparat, Modeselektor, DJ Koze and Smith’n’Hack and vintage techno and classics from Lil Louis, Romathony, Alter Ego and Laurie Anderson (whose 1981 hit O Superman is a surprise inclusion). There are also some well-honed mixes that fans will have heard played out, such as Thomas Bangalter’s Spinal Beats into Smith’n’Hack.

“This is one of our most exciting releases yet,” says Bugged Out’s John Burgess. “It’s going to surprise some people as it’s more diverse than the DJ sets Boys Noize played through 2007 which heavily featured his own music. This shows a DJ at the top of his game and reflects the varied record collection of someone that has been DJing for as long as Alex has. He’s hugely talented as this mix will attest.”
